Just another wank stain on the satin sheets of society.

This is a new doodle that I finished last week during a stressful day. Inspired by Youth Lagoon’s song 17, I can’t stop humming it.

I’m gradually filling up my new sketch book. Now I think I need to invest in a scanner.

5 Movies that I’m looking forward to (in no particular order)

The Great Gatsby

I mean, about everybody who has to endure English in high school has come across this book before. Baz Luhrmann always finds a way to have explosions of colour, beautiful costumes and brilliant music in his films, so I can’t wait to see what he does with this.

Lately I’ve been doing these little doodles on the back of my books. I started doing them as something to pass the time. But I realised that doodling kept me calm. I’d just sit down and draw these lines on my pages for hours on end, one page would take me about 5 hours to do.

What I love about these little lines is that I don’t see them as drawings. I don’t try to make them look like anything intense, I don’t mean to put detail into them. I just zone out and draw these lines however I want. It’s not what the page looks like when I’m finished, it’s just how I feel when I put that pen to paper.

It’s incredible what you can do when you don’t put your mind into things.

Yesterday I posted about my little doodles I drew on the back of my maths book. Well today I didn’t stop and I ended up covering the entire page.

I feel calm when I look at it. I haven’t been feeling that great lately, this just makes me feel better. I don’t know what it is. But for once it’s something I did and I don’t mind it.

I’ve been feeling pretty down lately.

During maths this afternoon I just put in my head phones and started doodling lines across my book. I didn’t stop doodling and 5 hours later I’m still at home doodling these lines. Only now have I decided to sit back and actually look at what I’ve drawn. I don’t know if it’s pretty or not, I don’t even know what it is. But doing this silly little lines has me feeling better.

We’re doing Macbeth for English this term and I can’t decide on a title.

Can I get more productive than this?

So there’s quite a few faults with this I know; Is that a beard? Is it teeth? Why don’t they have ears?
But these are just doodles that I do in the back of my books during maths. Maybe I’ll actually put my empty sketch books to good use.
